Strawicorn? Well, it doesn’t have much to do with what I’m about to tell you; but Yeti thought it would be funny to wear a straw on his head and pretend he was a mythical horse frolicking through the living room.
On another note…
Let’s talk Sci-fi! What is it that you like most about sci-fi? Personally, I just love the fantastical freedom, and the seemingly endless technology that can be created with only a few words!
For example, here’s an excerpt from what I’m currently working on. This is Gavin Levine; one of many agents in the employment of an interplanetary peace corporation.
The indecipherable code used, when translated, went as followed:
“Docked at port 586. Departing on the 1745 tomorrow.”
“Affirmative. Assassinate victim 72934 at scheduled time.”
“Good as done.”
I looked up then; at the metal hallways of the docking center. There was little to be enjoyed in the docking zones of any large city; on the other hand, this place had a certain atmosphere about it. It felt a little bit like planet Theos; where I’d spent most of my adult life.
Standing there for a few minutes, I let the climate sink in as I abstractedly watched the robots scuttle between their miscellaneous tasks about the docking bay, and passengers file down their respective platforms for quarantining and processing.
That’s just a few paragraphs; I think you’ll really enjoy what follows afterwards! Yeti has started proof reading The Christmas Tree Lot, something that’s perhaps a little too gory to make it in the big time – but we’ll see what he thinks!
As for now, Gracie ooouuutt-!
