And that is how the wreath turned into a floor heap. It looks much better there now, anyway! Decorating for the holidays is always that way, it seems; you start out with plans of picturesque grandeur, and end up with a box of unpacked lights and your favorite movie wishing the bulbs would hang themselves.

In the end, December is best spent under a warm blanket with your favorite cookies (and book); and not out in the cold, stringing lights that will fall down on their own in July!
