Okay, so Yeti and I have a sort of agreement. I do the brainstorming, thresh out the story and hand it over to his fuzzy little paws for proof reading. He goes through, underlines the things he wants changed, makes notes (sometimes pukes up a hairball or two on the manuscript) and hands it back.
Unfortunately, cats are free spirited animals – and tend to do whatever they want, whenever they want – and that means sleep in the sun, eat at odd hours, slap you in the face at 5:00 AM, and kill all of your indoor plants.
But that doesn’t mean they still can’t work alongside you part time, during the work week. This is a conversation we had just this month:
Me: Okay, Yeti. I write it, you read it. Deal?
Yeti: DEAL!
2 weeks later:
Me: Yeti, have you finished that proof reading? I need to start making changes.
Yeti on Monday Morning: …I’m just starting.
